Vectorize (SVG) is StyTrix's one-click tool for converting any raster image into a scalable SVG vector file using the Fal AI vectorization engine. Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image — and the tool outputs a clean, infinitely scalable SVG that you can use in Illustrator, CAD software, web projects, or any production workflow that requires vector graphics.
Unlike the Vectorize pipeline tool which runs a 4-step garment analysis process, Vectorize (SVG) is a direct, single-step conversion: image in, SVG out.
How to Open Vectorize (SVG)
In the left sidebar, click Vectorize (SVG). The upload panel appears immediately.
How to Use It
1. Upload Your Image
Three ways to provide an image:
- Drag & drop a file from your computer onto the upload zone
- Drag from the StyTrix Canvas — any canvas image can be dragged directly in
- Click Browse to select a local file (PNG, JPEG, WebP accepted)
- Click Library to choose an image from your Media Library
Once loaded, the image shows as a thumbnail with the filename. Only one image is processed at a time — uploading a new image replaces the previous one.
2. Generate
Click the Generate button (or the tool's run button in the canvas toolbar). The Fal vectorization API processes your image and outputs an SVG file.
3. Result on Canvas
The SVG result is automatically added to your StyTrix Canvas as a new element. It is also saved to your project storage so you can access it later.
Replace an Image
After uploading an image, two buttons appear below the thumbnail:
- Replace — opens the file browser to swap in a new image
- Library — opens the Media Library to select a different image
Supported Input Formats
| Format | Notes |
|---|---|
| PNG | Best for flat graphics, illustrations, line art |
| JPEG | Works for photos, but vector output quality depends on image complexity |
| WebP | Supported — converted automatically |
Best results: Flat illustrations, logos, technical sketches, pattern pieces, and line art convert with the highest fidelity. Complex photographic images will vectorize but may produce more complex SVG paths.
Output
The output is a standard SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file:
- Infinitely scalable — crisp at any size, from icon to billboard
- Editable paths — open in Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, or any vector editor
- Small file size — SVGs are typically much smaller than equivalent raster images at high resolution
- Production ready — directly usable in web, print, embroidery, laser cutting, and CAD workflows
API Key
Vectorize (SVG) uses the Fal AI API. The platform provides a server-side key by default — no setup required.
If you need to use your own Fal API key (for example, to use your own usage quota), enter it in the FAL API Key field in the tool's edit mode.
Practical Use Cases
Logo & Brand Asset Vectorization Upload a PNG logo or brand mark → convert to SVG → use across all print and digital touchpoints without quality loss.
Technical Sketch to Vector Run a garment through the Vectorize pipeline first (Steps 1–3) to get a clean technical sketch, then drop that PNG into Vectorize (SVG) for a final production-quality SVG.
Pattern Piece Vectorization Upload the color-blocked pattern map from the Vectorize pipeline's Step 3 output to get a fully vectorized, editable pattern file.
Flat Illustration to SVG Convert any flat fashion illustration, print design, or graphic into a vector file ready for embroidery digitizing, screen printing, or sublimation printing.
Icon and UI Asset Creation Upload hand-drawn or raster icon drafts and convert them to clean SVGs for UI development or brand design systems.
