FAQ

Frequently asked questions about StyTrix, the fashion design MCP.

What is a fashion design MCP?

A fashion design MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI agents real fashion-design tools. StyTrix is one: connect it to your agent and ask it to generate concepts, models, and fabrics that land live on your design canvas.

How do I connect StyTrix to Claude?

In Claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://www.stytrix.com/api/mcp, click Connect, and sign in with your StyTrix account. For Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Gemini CLI, see the Connect StyTrix guide.

Do I need an API key?

No. StyTrix uses OAuth 2.1 sign-in. Your client opens a StyTrix sign-in page and receives a scoped token — there is no API key to copy or paste, and you can revoke access anytime.

Is it free?

Connecting and read-only tools (whoami, list projects, get credits) are free. Generation tools use StyTrix credits, charged only after a successful result.

Which agents are supported?

Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, and Google Gemini CLI connect via the MCP server. The StyTrix agent skill installs into 70+ agents, including Continue, through the open Agent Skills format.

What’s the difference between the skill, the MCP server, and the CLI?

The skill is the playbook — instructions that teach your agent when and how to use StyTrix. The MCP server and the CLI are the tools (the hands) that actually generate designs. You need the tools (MCP or CLI); the skill makes your agent use them well.

Can I remove the connector?

Yes. Open the Connectors page in your agent, select StyTrix, and disconnect. You can also revoke access from your StyTrix account settings at any time.

Where do generated images go?

Generated images appear live on the StyTrix canvas you specify as real, editable design objects. You keep full ownership of your designs.
